Special recycling

The Horsham Repair Cafe is organised by Sussex Green Living, the Horsham Quakers and a team of volunteers. Since 2012 some of Sussex Green Living’s local volunteers have offered a special recycling scheme, mainly single-use plastics.  Our scheme diverts these waste resources from landfill and incinerator, recycles the materials and raises money for charities. In the front garden of the Quaker Meeting House, Worthing Road there are Sussex Green Living branded bins, providing the public drop off location for these materials. More bins can be found at the William Penn School in Coolham.

The beneficiaries are:

  • William Penn Primary School in Coolham
  • Springboard Project in Horsham
  • Purple Community Fund in Manila, Philippines
