3rd Feb 18 – Woodwork

Horsham Repair Cafe - November 2017

This Repair Café is being run in partnership with Men’s Shed in Horsham. A Shed’s activities usually involve making or mending using wood (e.g. carpentry, joinery, turning, carving, whittling, marquetry, furniture renovation) but may include metalworking (milling, sheet metal, welding, etc.) bike repair, gardening, electronics, tool renovation, boat renovation, model engineering (model railways, planes) and even building a car! Reclamation, reuse and restoration will feature strongly – and some say that is true of the men too! Bring along any item of wood/furniture that you would like mended or revived and we will see what we can do!

Come along and have a cup of tea or coffee, a piece of cake and have a chat with like-minded people.  Booking is recommended if you are bringing something to repair or remake; there is no cost though donations are very welcome . If you have any queries or want to book a FREE repair please fill in this form.

Monthly craft upcycling demos

We plan to have a demonstration of some creative upcycling at each Café by a local craftspeople to show you what can be done with a no longer needed waste resource. Learn more here.

Monthly household cleaning product refill service

This is a great way to save money and to help reduce the number of plastic bottles which need to be recycled or at worst end up in landfill. Learn more here

We always need more volunteers too -as general helpers or people with technical repair and craft skills.
